Richard Lee may be an amateur Poker professional at fifty-something but he sure has the skill to topple off every one on the top rank. He played tight in numerous tournaments that he was seen, which is indicative of more good years to come.
Richard was born in Honolulu, Hawaii but calls San Antonio, Texas, his home. He loves the town so much that he is often seen wearing a shirt bearing its name. Richard was also caught saying that he wants Poker people to know him as a passionate individual who loves his family, his country, and San Antonio so much.
Well, too much about San Antonio. Let us talk about the Poker professional. Richard made his first cash in at the 2006 World Series of Poker main event, where he placed sixth. He took home $2.8 million for that performance, which was garnished with a new record set and a free promotion of his hometown, San Antonio. At his final table appearance, Richard outlasted three other players before he was ousted himself. This is quite impressive for someone who is fairly new to the challenge of the contest.
Prior to the 2006 WSOP, Richard almost landed at the final table of the 2005 Grand Slam of Poker event, which was held in Los Angeles, California. Although he came home with a twelfth place finish, Richard is no wonder happy with his investment doubled at the end of the day.
Richard's presence at the Poker spotlight has raised a few eyebrows. Some critics and onlookers alike sure did not work well with a few calls that he did. Soon enough, Richard known that he will earn they respect. A couple of steady games and impressive finishes would surely do as much to his identity as a Poker professional as it will in his wealth.
Richard previously managed a jewelry business. Now that he has semi-retired from that very demanding full time job, he is turning his attention to Poker. Good thing, his skill is enough to cup him a few millions along with the fun part. This makes Richard even happier with his choice. He knows that there is still so much in store if he would try and learn every thing that he needs to come out a champion.
Aside from Poker, there is also Richard's family of a wife and three grown children, which keeps him busy during dull times. He is a certified family man. He is frequently found right at home when he is not attending tournaments.
